Mandy Moore just posted a pic to her Instagram account a few hours ago from Tanzania, detailing her experience climbing all 19,341 feet of Mount Kilimanjaro! Whoa -- inspiring!!!

As you can see (above), Moore and a few climbing mates got particularly close with one another while climbing the mountain and pushing through extremely cold temperatures and blustery winds.
And as you can read (below), it sounds like Many had the the time of her life doing it, if the caption can capture it all:
"On the night of our ascent to the summit, we woke up at 11pm (after a few hours of napping) to enjoy a couple of nervous minutes together with a cup of coffee before it was time to gear up in my our warmest layers and start the nearly 8 hour trek to highest point in Africa- 19,341 ft. In total darkness, we took it pole pole (slow slow) and trudged through rain, sleet and snow, where seemingly everything on our person managed to freeze (water bottles, backpacks, our eyelashes, hair, fingers, toes, etc...) Oddly, I've never felt more determined to tackle such a physical challenge before and yet the combined elements of exhaustion and extremely cold weather made it much trickier than any of us were prepared for.
All of that aside, ultimately reaching the threshold of the true summit was more emotional and overwhelming than I had thought possible. Kilimanjaro demands a lot from those who traverse her trails. You have no choice but to show up. And we did. There's nothing more empowering than realizing that we are all capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for."

Donald Trump apparently spent more than $27,000 in taxpayer money to track and monitor media reports and news stories literally the day after the President was sued by porn star Stormy Daniels!

According to Federal Procurement documents first obtained on Saturday by TMZ, the payment of some $27,075 was authorized back on March 7th by the Executive Office of the President under the expenditure heading "SUPPORT - MANAGEMENT: PUBLIC RELATIONS."
It was a payment sent to a company called TVEyes, which tracks stories on TV, radio, and in print using keywords to determine story topics and themes.
The documents don't say exactly what story was being tracked, but it's by far the largest media tracking expenditure this President has ever made, and considering it came directly from him ON THE DAY AFTER he was sued by Stormy Daniels... come on, man.
Nothing quite like using taxpayer money to surreptitiously track media stories about you that you may or may not like.

After a healthy heaping of controversy derailed his hit HGTV show Flip or Flop, star flipper Tarek El Moussa is now speaking out about the role steroids played in ruining his marriage, and his life.
The 36-year-old real estate and renovation master spoke to Dr. Drew Pinsky on The Dr. Drew Podcast this week, going into great detail about what exactly happened with his steroid use, fighting back to life after cancer scares, and the issues that led to the demise of his marriage with ex-wife Christina.

The steroid issue actually started when Tarek tried to get his hormone and testosterone levels back on track after his first cancer scare and repeated thyroid issues.
He relayed (below):
"It was just my hormones were off. I was tired and I thought it was from the thyroid medication but it wasn't. Next thing I know I'm shoving a needle on my ass and taking steroids … it was testosterone. It was awful. I was completely on way too much testosterone, on top of that taking human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) injections every day … because I was told to."
He continued on, too, noting that during all of his health issues and throughout the steroid issues, he was still filming Flip or Flop on a pretty intense schedule with Christina.
Tarek shared (below):
"I got back surgery, I went from 230 pounds to 168 pounds. So I had the cancer and then I got the second cancer. And then four months after I recovered from the second cancer, I hurt my back. I lost 60 pounds, I was on Vicodin every day. On top of that, my hormones are off, I'm on pain meds and narcotics and I'm filming and working. It was a really rough three, four years … It was a horrifying experience. I would find myself just sitting alone and just being depressed. It's all because of all the shit that was being pumped into my body just turned me into someone that wasn't me. In 20/20 hindsight I think, ‘How in the hell did I film a show, start a company, how did I do all these things?' I was so spun out from all the shit they gave me."

He also looked at the bigger picture involved with his divorce and more (below):
"There's a lot of contributing factors [to the divorce] — life is moving so fast. We bought a house, remodeling the house … my hormonal levels were off and I wasn't feeling really well a lot of the time and I wasn't being the best person I could have been. There's so much going on with TV and the notoriety and the finances and so many different things happening at one time and it slowly pulled us apart."
Sounds like pretty serious stuff.
At least he's finally taking stock of it and, it would appear, figuring out how to combat and correct things.

Iggy Azalea is opening up like never before.
In an interview with Billboard published on Friday, the Fancy rapper reveals she recently completed a two-week program to deal with her mental health issues.

It all started at the end of 2017 when her team staged an intervention regarding the musician's "anger issues," especially when it came to her feuds with the media or other artists.
The Aussie recalled:
"They were like, 'We think you're really talented and you can go to the studio and make hits all day, but we don't know if, you know, someone says something about you and you have a reaction it could ruin a branding deal. We need you to go and speak to these people and make sure that you're mentally prepared to come out with new music.'"
Although she "didn't like the idea of being sent away somewhere," close friend Demi Lovato -- who has publicly struggled with her own mental health issues -- inspired her to go.
According to her rep, she underwent "intensive therapy" at a two-week "mental retreat" in Arizona.
While she was initially "pissed" about entering the program, Azalea is now glad she did.
"I've never really sat down and had an honest conversation with professional people... It was good to say something to somebody who could give me the tools and information on how to make my life manageable when I'm feeling those things. So it was really useful—I'm glad that I went."
Although she "regrets" some of her past decisions, the recording artist is looking forward to her future.
"I don't beat myself up about it at the same time, because it, everything, was like landing on Mars. I just think it's a lot for anybody to digest."

On Friday, Pippa Middleton's father-in-law David Matthews (above, right) was taken into custody in Paris and charged with rape of a minor.
The 73-year-old -- who is the father of James Matthews, Pippa's husband -- allegedly assaulted the victim between 1998 and 1999 in France.

Last year, an alleged witness reported the incident to authorities, forcing Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews' father to appear in front of judges on Tuesday.
According to legal sources from French national news agency AFP, Matthews has been charged with the "rape of a minor by a person with authority over his victim." He has been slapped with charges for an alleged attack in Paris, and one in St. Barts, where he permanently lives with his wife Jane.
He denies the allegations and has been released on bail.

The reality tv icon teased that a much more mature situation would be gracing screens this month when the revival season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation premieres on MTV.

Speaking to ET at the show's premiere party, the 35-year-old opened up about getting sober and his attempts to get his life together following his tax evasion sentence earlier this year.
He dished to Katie Krause:
"[I'm] 28 months sober, I'm very proud, it's one of my finest accomplishments and it was a huge challenge. It's a 'one day at a time' thing and [I'm] just showing people that it's very possible."
Inspiring! But not promising for us fans who just want to see the Situation bang his head against a wall like he did in season 3.
While being brought back into a house fueled by drinking and debauchery (read: Snooki) is a bad idea for a recovering alcoholic, Sorrentino said he made sure to focus on his own health and not try to keep up with the rest of the gang:
"The mindset was coming from a grateful standpoint, a blessed standpoint. Stay in your lane and run your own race. They could be drinking, they could be having fun, but that's not my race, because if I look over to the person next to me, guess what? I'm going to trip over my own feet and you're going to win the race and The Situation is not going to let that happen."
And don't worry, fans -- the Situation did not let sobriety keep himself from entertaining the masses:
"I challenged myself to have fun, dance, and be at a club till 5 am and show people it's possible to have fun. And you'll see, because The Situation turns up more than some people do when they're even drinking."

A big reason Sorrentino has remained dedicated to staying healthy is his longtime girlfriend Lauren Pesce. He gushed:
"Definitely, she is the one, for sure. She's been through good times and bad times, the ups and downs, she saw me at my worst and she deserves me at my best."
Life for the Sitch isn't all sunshine and laundry, though. Sorrentino could face five years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of tax evasion in January alongside his brother Marc Sorrentino.

Until his April 25 sentencing, the reality star has been making an effort to better the state that made him famous. He's been serving as the director of public outreach for a New Jersey rehab facility and conducting speaking events for people who are struggling with addiction.

"I continue to better myself and I'm like, 'How can I continue to better myself?' and I'm like, 'You know what, let me help others.' So I'm trying my best to continue to take on challenges and continue to move forward."
How admirable!
Even with the threat of jail time hanging over his head, Sorrentino says he is "at peace" with the impending sentencing -- but is even more excited for the world to see the "new and improved Situation" in the upcoming season:
"I just want people to see the new Situation! The new and improved Situation. And you'll be surprised what you see."
Wow! He genuinely seems older, wiser, and overall less of a giant douche.
Let's hope the rest of the cast isn't, or we're in for one tame, enlightened Jersey Shore Family Vacation on April 5.

Kristin Kreuk is denying reports that she recruited women as "sex slaves" for NXIVM, the sex cult disguised as a self-improvement group.
Days after co-founder Keith Raniere was arrested in his $10,000-a-week Mexican villa and charged by federal prosecutors, the New York Post reported that the Smallville actress was used as a lure to bring in other women into the abusive cult.

The report claimed that Kreuk signed up for the group around late 2005 and was the one who brought costar Allison Mack on board. Kreuk got out in 2012, before female members began getting forcibly branded with cauterizing pens.
Kreuk set the record straight on Thursday, insisting she had no involvement in a secretive subgroup within NXIVM called "Dominus Obsequious Sororium," (DOS) in which women were allegedly coerced into serving as sex slaves to their male masters.
She explained:
"When I was about 23, I took an Executive Success Programs/NXIVM ‘intensive,' what I understood to be a self-help/personal growth course that helped me handle my previous shyness, which is why I continued with the program. I left about five years ago and had minimal contact with those who were still involved."
Kreuk cut ties with the group soon after the Albany Times Union wrote of allegations that Raniere -- known as "Vanguard" to his followers -- had sex with underage girls.

Mack, however, reportedly stayed on and rose through the ranks of the group. She even helped come up with the idea of sizzling the "brand" into initiates' skin as they were held down.
Kreuk did not mention Mack in her statement, but made sure to thank the "brave" former female members of NXIVM who are assisting officials in their investigation. Read her full post (below).

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students are dealing with ANOTHER gun threat on campus this week, after a student at the school -- which suffered one of the worst mass school shootings in American history back in February -- made threats with a gun and ammunition on social media.

According to cops, an unnamed student posted ominous pictures to his Snapchat page showing a gun and ammunition and calling out a clear target: a fellow student that he accused of stealing his Gucci sandals.
The student in question wrote such disturbing, aggressive captions on his gun and ammunition photos on Snapchat like (below):
"Catch me out here n*gga ... Anyone know josh at Stoneman Douglas he's light skin where's Gucci glasses and jeans that look like a 4 year old drew on em hmu."
Wow.
Now, parents at the school are up in arms over whether there may be ANOTHER threat of a shooting on campus because of all this.
According to TMZ, the father of the student who allegedly made the threat has recently met with police, and he turned over a black handgun, a magazine, six bullets, and an airsoft pistol. No word on his son yet, however.
Hopefully, this particular threat is over... but still. Again?! Ugh. What a world we live in...
