Last week, The Weinstein Company announced they will file for bankruptcy as the company is facing several lawsuits related to Harvey Weinstein's sexual misconduct allegations.

In fact, earlier this month, New York attorney general Eric Schneiderman sued the production business claiming they violated the state's civil rights laws and New York City's human rights laws.
Soooo, on Thursday, SAG-AFTRA -- the union which represents over 100,000 actors and other media professionals -- sent its members an email urging everyone to immediately cash any checks they received from TWC.
They wrote:
"SAG-AFTRA has been working for several months with outside counsel to protect member interests in residuals payable by The Weinstein Company. As a bankruptcy filing in the next few weeks appears increasingly likely, we strongly encourage you to immediately cash any checks you may have from work performed on Weinstein titles."
