Yet more proof Donald Trump supporters know nothing about history.
Mike Huckabee, whose daughter Sarah Huckabee Sanders' whole job consists of finding ways to twist the President's lies daily, heaped disgusting amount of praise on his orange leader on Tuesday.

In a truly poorly thought-out tweet, which was probably more inspired by watching the just-released biopic Darkest Hour than any real knowledge base, the former governor compared Trump to British Prime Minister Winston Churchill:
Churchill was hated by his own party, opposition party, and press. Feared by King as reckless, and despised for his bluntness. But unlike Neville Chamberlain, he didn't retreat. We had a Chamberlain for 8 yrs; in @realDonaldTrump we have a Churchill.

So ridiculous! We'll let the journalists and historians take this one. See some of the best retorts to this inane likening (below)!
ALL OF BRITAIN IN UNISON: Trump is no Churchill.

Comparing Donald Trump to Winston Churchill establishes Mike Huckabee as a history ignoramus for the ages. What a clown.

Please stop lying.
1) Churchill fought agaiinst Nazis; @realDonaldTrump supports Nazis.
2) Chruchill told the truth; @realDonaldTrump is a pathological liar.
Trump is actually America's Mussolini, only Trump is much more stupid and incompetent. http://pic.twitter.com/ufzZfFAFro

Churchill served in the military and saw combat; he served in office for decades; he was a prodigious reader of history, philosophy, literature; he was a brilliant wit with a wonderful sense of humor; he was an excellent military strategist; he was a gifted orator.

You know who really hated Churchill, precisely when he and Britain stood alone in 1940 and 1941 against Nazi German? The America First Committee. What did Donald Trump chose to call his foreign policy? America First. https://t.co/ISYd3CaQ4u

While in the British Army (where he actively sought to serve in war zones), Churchill gave skin from his own chest to help graft an injured officer's wound.

The only thing Donald Trump and Winston Churchill have in common is that they were born rich (though Churchill's wealth was aristocratic and Trump yearns for the aristocracy's respect). Churchill was a war fighter who led his country through World War II. Trump had bone spurs. https://t.co/5mkw9sAefs

A paragraph of Churchill's prose, from The Aftermath (1929)
"To the faithful, toil-burdened masses the victory was so complete that no further effort seemed required. Germany had fallen and with her the world combination that had crushed her. (1/4)

Did someone seriously compare Trump to Winston Churchill?! On an evolutionary scale, Trump has more in common with any number of invertebrates than with Churchill. https://t.co/pZxbLZd87q
